Adventures of Ryan and Jacee

Last weekend was epic.  It all started with a 12 hour drive to central Idaho via I90 and Montana.  We found ourselves in remote central Idaho and the mighty Salmon River.  My uncle Garth knows some people who own a lodge on the river and Garth has been a floating the River for nearly 50 years.  We were coming from all over the place to enjoy a little bit of family time enjoying the outdoors and doing a little bit of white water rafting.

One of the best parts was the fact that Jacee's sisters were able to join us.  Jacee only gets to see her family about twice a year because they live in American Fork Utah.  Needless to say, we were all super excited to have them join us.

The river section we floated was on the main Salmon.  We would take the boats 10 miles up river and float back to the lodge.  There were 4 sets of rapids and plenty of calm areas for swimming.  The rapids were probably a Class 2, nothing too big but plenty of fun for people of all ages and experience.  Jacee and I were lucky enough to float the 10 mile trip 3 times.

The weather was warm.  The scenery was gorgeous.  The people we wonderful.  It was just the vacation we needed.
